2001 Land Rover Discovery Series II SE

,This very distinctive but practical 7 passenger Disco came to us from sunny, dry Arizona (no rust!!). It uniquely incorporates several of the desirable, and impossible to find off-road oriented options from "back in the day", such as the OEM brushguard, with the distinctive 8" IPF foglights, the ladder and original style steel taillight guards. The truck features a modest 2" lift and we just installed 2" (+2) All-Terrain Nexens for a great ride and the right look, especially with the sharp Satin Black special factory 18" wheels! The ever-popular Chawton white paint is in very good condition overall with surprisingly little sign of fading. Inside you'll find a very tidy Grey leather interior with virtually no flaws of any sort. Of course, the rare 7-passenger upgrade is very popular for families and young folks alike and brings with it the refreshing separately controlled REAR AIR conditioning system. The truck also features headrest DVD screens with wireless headphones. The 4.0l V* of the early Disco 2's has proven to be solidly reliable (much more so than its successor, the 4.6) but like all Discos a bit prone to leaks so the head gaskets and valve cover gaskets have bee replaced and we installed new ignition coils, wires and plugs while we were at it. To insure good engine life, we also upgraded the cooling system with new water pump, hoses, and thermostat. The brakes are new all around, all the primary electrical components are working, and the car is fully up-to-date on servicing so there should be little expense needed to keep this head-turning truck on the road for years to come.
