2003 Land Rover Discovery SE

We build a LOT of customized 03-04 Discovery's (over 150 to date) but we opted to keep this one straight and clean, very true to its original. Partly, we did so because the White on Tan color scheme is so authentically classic that it needs no enhancement. We were also intrigued by the presence of the ORIGINAL "soft" front bumper guard with original "big" driving lights, all in excellent condition - a very rare find indeed. And at only 104k on the clock, this one stands on its own. We did, of course, do our due diligence in preparing this truck for market to insure that it was safe and reliable for its next owner. That process started with a top-end engine overhaul with premium Elring head gaskets and ARP head studs to keep that common problem at bay. And we offer a 90-day limited guarantee on that work. Very importantly, we did upgrade the cooling system with a new high-output AirTex water pump, new hoses and tank, and, very importantly, the new Inline Thermostat conversion. The net result is that the engine runs at a very cool 176-188 degrees, far below the usual 215+ this insuring very long engine life with only routine upkeep. For safety's sake the brakes are new all round and the truck rolls on brand new Pirelli Scorpion AT3W tires - very high quality and good looking, too! For safety we also upgraded the lighting to powerful LEDs in the hi/lo headlamp. fog lights and even in the driving lights. For safety and convenience and new 9" touchscreen system with wireless CarPlay and a sharp backup camera was installed. As is always needed, original wheel arches were reconditioned and we added a black hood decal for reduced driving glare and jus' cause! And, of course, we verified that all the electrical and mechanical systems functioned as they should and we even reworked the ABS system to preemptively banish those troublesome "3 Amigos"! It also bears mentioning that if it's new owner decides that the bumper guard was not to their liking, it is easily removable to reveal a good condition stock bumper for a quick change with only hand tools in about 45 minutes!
